One move. A clear record.
How we organize movement intelligence—and what the numbers mean.
One event, multiple observations
Reports describing the same person or team, route, and compatible dates are consolidated. Firm legal-name variants are normalized. Similar assets or headcount alone never establish a match. Incomplete or ambiguous records go to editorial review.
Dates with context
The default feed uses source publication dates when available, otherwise discovery dates. Effective dates appear only when established from the evidence. Scheduled appointments remain labeled and are excluded from completed firm-activity totals. Unknown historical effective dates are not silently replaced with today.
Reported and corroborated
Reported means the record has a linked source and usable change context. Registration corroborated means an affiliation observation is also attached. It does not verify the entire narrative, role, asset figure, or team membership. Several reports can originate from the same announcement.
Firm activity
Incoming and outgoing counts represent distinct qualifying events in our monitored coverage. Net events means incoming minus outgoing events. Named people are counted separately per event; a reported team size is not treated as a verified advisor count. The view excludes executive, industry-hire and internal changes, scheduled future changes, registrations and acquisitions. It does not measure actual roster growth.
Reported book AUM
Disclosed book sizes describe the associated practices. They do not establish assets transferred or retained. Values are shown only where disclosed; conflicting amounts are withheld pending review. Missing amounts are not zero.
Coverage and corrections
Coverage depends on monitored public reporting and registration observations. It is not an exhaustive census or a complete firm ranking. Registration changes and acquisition-related activity have separate filters. Public records can be corrected or consolidated while original observations remain retained for editorial review. Use Report a correction on the event detail page.
Saved views and email
Save your filters with email off, or opt into daily or weekly notifications. Emails contain newly matched canonical events; additional supporting sources do not generate duplicate alerts. Remove a saved view to stop its emails. Following uses the people and firms saved to your reader account.
